The plants in the vases are Peace Lillies, these plants require very little care.  Occasional trimming of the roots is necessary to keep the fish from becoming entangled. The fish are male betas, they are commonly a solitary fish.  Betas come in many colors, reds, blues, greens, some yellows and shades of orange as well.  No air pump is needed as betas are air breathers and will swim to the top to breathe. The stones used match the color of the fish and some contrasting ones are added to enhance the presentation .
